JEDI Scholarship

Consideration for this scholarship for the 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting on Pelvic Pain is now closed.  Applications were due on July 31, 2023

Overview

The IPPS is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in its membership and program offerings. The IPPS JEDIS Program is designed to advance excellence in healthcare, education, and research in communities who lack access to pelvic pain care due to social, racial, or economic disparities. Our vision is to expand the number of healthcare professionals who can provide specialty care within these communities, and who can also serve as educators, researchers, and mentors, thereby giving under-represented communities equal voice and equal access to healchare resources for the management of chronic pelvic pain.

The IPPS JEDIS Program aims to increase involvement of diverse healthcare professionals in the IPPS Annual Meeting, committees, initiatives, and leadership opportunities, to provide support for individuals from communities of color, or individuals from LGBTQ+ communities, or individuals with disabilities, and to support individuals who provide healthcare in economically disadvantaged communities or socially disenfranchised communities.

The IPPS JEDIS Program includes:

  • Annual IPPS membership (From acceptance as a JEDI Scholar to December 31 of the following year)
  • One complimentary annual meeting registration (Foundations Course, Main Conference, and Post-Conference)
  • A $500 stipend to support travel to the IPPS Annual Scientific Meeting on Pelvic Pain
