The C. Paul Perry Memorial Education fund was created in memory of C. Paul Perry (1945-2008). The IPPS C. Paul Perry Memorial Fund honors Dr. Perry’s life and future ambitions by providing meeting travel grants to IPPS meetings, or to provide support for other programs that will educate health care professionals how to diagnose and manage pelvic pain, thereby changing the lives of patients worldwide.

About C. Paul Perry, MD
One of the founders of the International Pelvic Pain Society and one of the most beloved pelvic pain specialists in the world, Dr. Perry was adored and respected by both patients and colleagues from around the globe. His positive impact on the Endometriosis and pelvic pain communities helped achieve great strides in the care and treatment of many who were suffering.
Born in Mobile, Alabama on August 13, 1945, where he graduated from Murphy High School and met his bride for the past 43 years. He graduated from the University of Alabama with Honors, and then graduated from University of Alabama School of medicine in 1971. He served his country in the Air Force, and then began his medical practice in Birmingham, Alabama in 1978. For the past 30 years, he dedicated his practice to the education, diagnosis and treatment of chronic pelvic pain. In 1996 he co-founded the International Pelvic Pain Society, where he served as President and Chairman of the Board. His contributions to this specialized medical field include numerous articles, publications, and textbook chapters, an international lecturer on pelvic pain and the design of an instrument used in the diagnosis of chronic pelvic pain. He is survived by his wife Suzanne Noel Perry; sons, Jonathan Noel Perry (Stephanie), Joshua Paul Perry (Erin) of Birmingham; daughter, Elizabeth Ellen Perry also of Birmingham; his grandchildren, Jonathan Stone Perry, age 9, Davis Paul Perry, age 6, and Ashton Grace Perry, age 2.

Upon the death of James E. Carter in October, 2006, friends and colleagues of Dr. Carter have joined together to commemorate his memory by establishing the James E. Carter, MD Memorial Lecture Fund. The intention of the Memorial Lecture fund is to host an annual lecture to be given on a subject relevant to Dr. Carter’s life and work on chronic pelvic pain.
We need your support to continue to fund the James E. Carter, MD Memorial Lecture. Our goal is a $10,000 Memorial Lecture Fund. The Memorial Lecture will be used to attract the very best speakers for educating health care professionals in the area of chronic pelvic pain. Contributors will be listed in the syllabus of the next Annual Scientific Meeting on Chronic Pelvic Pain in order of total amount contributed.
Gifts and bequests are welcome. The fund operates under the fiscal sponsorship of the International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS).
