Annual Scientific Meeting on Pelvic Pain - Abstract Submissions

Submission Information:
- IMPORTANT NEW CHANGES TO THE SUBMISSION PROCESS PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
- Once signed in, from the main account page, you will need to either click the name of an already existing abstract presenting author you have submitted an abstract for, or click the link to submit an abstract from a new presenter not listed in order to proceed with submitting an abstract.
- You will need to indicate the following information available during the submission process:
- The title of the Abstract.
- The topic to be chosen from a list of topics.
- You will need to enter the body text of your abstract directly into the provided text box. A maximum character count of 2500 characters, which includes spaces, is allowed.
- The name, address, phone and email of the Presenting author.
- The Educational Background and Current Position of the Presenting Author.
- You will need to complete a CME/COI Speaker disclosure form for the Presenting Author which will be presented to you upon making your submission and can be accessed at any time after the submission by clicking the CME/COI Submission Information link from the menu above.
- Abstract Preparation
- Abstracts should be formatted as follows:
- Line spacing should be single space.
- The font should be 12pt. Times New Roman.
- The abstract should be informative and detailed.
- The title should be capitalized.
- It must contain the following information:
- Study Objective: Begin abstract with a clear, concise statement of the precise objective or question put forth in the study;
- Design: Describe the basic study design and duration of follow-up, if any;
- Setting: Describe the study location and level of clinical care;
- Patients or Participants: State the manner of selection and numbers of patients who were enrolled in and completed the study;
- Interventions: Describe the exact treatment or intervention, if any;
- Measurements and Main Results: Describe the methods of assessing patients and state the key results; this section MUST INCLUDE DATA, even if preliminary;
- Conclusions: State clearly the study conclusions and clinical applications that are supported by the data, and advise if additional study is required before this information should be used in clinical settings.
- The detail of the abstract should contain headings for the Study Objective, Design, Setting, Patients or Participants, Interventions, Measurements and Main Results, and Conclusions.
- Avoid excessive abbreviations in abstract.
- Abbreviations may only be used after the words are written out in full at first mention.
- It is the author's responsibility to submit the abstract in perfect order with no errors in spelling or grammar.
- Abstracts will not be retyped or corrected.
- Abstracts not received in proper format will not be considered by the Program Committee.
- Any tables should be simple.
- Tables should be supplied as text only and typed directly into the provided textbox, i.e. not pasted from other applications
- Carriage returns should not be used within cells
- Take care not to use I (cap i) or l (ell) for 1 (one), O (capital o) for 0 (zero) or ß (German eszett) for (beta).
- If references are essential, they should be within the text, in the form: (Smith et al. Eur J Anaesth 1998; 15: 100-1).
